Located in beautiful Waldoboro, Maine, the Prock Ridge Farm has been raising Belted Galloway’s since 1977. Our first Beltie came to our farm after our daughter won it in a judging contest at the Union Fair. The farm owner, Merle Prock, went on to match that animal with one and this was the beginning of our Beltie herd.
Over the years the herd has grown to around forty head. The farm not only has blacks but also is the proud owners of both duns and reds. This has only been with selective breeding. Loraine studies pedigrees that she feels would improve the herd. Also looking for different bloodlines. The farm has very interesting bloodlines. The majority have been importing from all parts of Canada over the years.
